Labor Day Family Camp

Labor Day Family Camp

September 1-4, 2017 with  "Extend your stay" options for an even longer weekend.
Labor Day Family Camp is a great way to experience GENEVA over the extended Labor Day weekend with the whole family. You'll spend time on the shores of Lake Michigan - sitting around the campfire, lodging in modern cabins or the renovated Retreat Center, and having your meals prepared for you. Throughout the weekend you'll have plenty of family time, as well as sessions designed for each specific age group.
Matt Laidlaw will be our speaker for the weekend. Matt has served as a pastor at Mars Hill in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he worked on the kids, students, and adult ministry teams for over a decade. He is a graduate of Kuyper College and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and has lived and studied in the Middle East. Matthew is a Certified Trainer for the Fuller Youth Institute at Fuller Theological Seminary and has served on the Editorial Board for the Institute for Youth Ministry at Princeton Theological Seminary. He is a sports enthusiast, joke-teller, and food snob. Matthew, and his wife Stephanie, have two young children. Joel Meyer will be back again this year to lead us in worship! Joel is a teacher at Zeeland Christian School. He and his wife Rebecca have four children. Come celebrate the end of summer with Camp Geneva!

Extend Your Stay
Have you ever wished you could get an extra day or two from your Labor Day weekend experience at Camp Geneva? We’ve developed two options that enable your family to arrive early to Family Camp and enjoy what the lakeshore has to offer.
  • OPTION 1: Arrive on Thursday anytime after 10 am. We will provide a campfire dinner for your family on Thursday evening, a continental breakfast on Friday morning, and dinner on Friday evening before the weekend gets underway. Please note: Thursday breakfast/lunch and Friday lunch are on your own. We will not provide any type of food service.
  • OPTION 2: Arrive on Friday anytime after 10 am. We will provide dinner on Friday evening before the weekend gets underway. Please note: If you want dinner when you arrive on Friday night, you MUST pick this option. Dinner on Friday is not included in the regular price of camp.
We will NOT be offering any specific activities at GENEVA until Family Camp officially opens at 6 pm on Friday evening. However, feel free to spend time on the GENEVA beach, on the GENEVA grounds, or explore the surrounding area of beautiful Holland, Michigan. Note: The GENEVA pool will NOT be opened until registration time on Friday night.
