All staff shall possess a growing faith in Jesus Christ, ability to share that faith with others and be at least 18 years of age.
Counselors working in all four programs, Day Camp, GENEVA Shores, GENEVA Pines, and High School are responsible for carrying out the weekly program with campers by being positive role models, living with their camper during the week, providing care and support for each camper, and sharing with campers their faith in Jesus Christ. Applicants must be one year out of high school, and have previous experience working with children.
Kitchen staff will be responsible for assisting cooks in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals. These persons will also have program contact with campers throughout each week.
Lifeguards will be responsible for all Shores waterfront activities (lake and pool). Duties include testing campers for swimming ability, enforcing waterfront policies and procedures, providing waterfront program activity options, and teaching community swim lessons at GENEVA Shores. Applicants must be lifeguard certified.
Challenge Staff will be responsible for all Pines waterfront activities. Duties include testing campers for swimming ability, enforcing waterfront policies and procedures, providing waterfront program activity options, and facilitating challenge activities including climbing tower, zipline, and initiatives. Applicants must be lifeguard certified.
Maintenance staff will be responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of camp facilities. Maintenance staff will also have program contact with campers throughout each week.
Arts and Crafts
Arts and Crafts staff will be responsible for the daily programing and management of Arts and Crafts for either Shores or Pines. He/She will work with the Program Director to choose projects, manage supplies, budget, and direct staff and campers in the arts and crafts room. Applicants should have prior camp experience.
Store staff will operate the store and oversee staff help during open hours, maintain and clean the facility and equipment, check and restock inventory between open hours.
Media staff will take photos to be posted online daily and for future marketing materials. Media staff must have experience with DSLR cameras and social media.
Nurses will be responsible for the health and safety of each camper and staff member at Camp Geneva. Nursing staff will maintain all medical records, administer all medications, screen all campers, and be responsible for treatment of all participants. Applicants should have graduated college or be entering their final year in a nursing program.
Worship staff will provide direction for worship for campers and staff. Duties include worship leading, helping staff develop a theology of worship, empowering staff to lead, set up and take down of equipment, and developing songsheets/powerpoint. Applicants must have prior camp experience.
Games and Activites
Activity staff will be responsible for large and small group games and special program activities. Duties include game development, directing staff, leading games, debriefing the activity, providing for equipment, set up, and clean up. Applicants should have prior camp experience.
