My favorite passage of scripture is:

James 1:2-3: Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

These verses help me to remember that everything in my life happens for a reason. All the trials I go through are a part of God’s plan for me and they make me stronger in the end.

It can be very hard to understand why God puts you through things that are really difficult. If you can get into a mindset that the trials you face are actually there to help you grow in your faith, they might be a little easier to handle. Rejoicing in the fact that God gives us challenges to help us persevere in life is important. God wants us to seek Him out even in the hard times and to give Him control. Hardships are a lot easier with God on our side!
