John 11:1-44: The Death of Lazarus

This story shows Jesus’ faithfulness in answering requests but it may take longer than we expect. It reminds me that when I pray I need to have patience and when God responds it will be in great ways.

Mary and Martha came to Jesus in desperation and in need of healing for Lazarus. Jesus heard their request but waited before responding. All hope seemed to be lost when Jesus arrived, but He performed a miracle greater than the one they requested. He was asked to heal Lazarus of his illness, but instead Jesus raised him from the dead. In prayer, ask for your needs to be fulfilled. When you do this wait and don’t become frustrated if an answer doesn’t come immediately because God may be planning on giving you something greater than you asked.
