My favorite passage of scripture is:

Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

This verse shows me that I don’t need to hold onto my burdens or worries, but I can hand them over to the Lord with a heart of thanksgiving and God’s peace will cover me and protect me. A peace I’ll never be able to understand from the God of Peace Himself.

This passage reminds you that in the difficult storms of life, in the midst of trials or anxieties, all you need to do is cry out to the Lord and He will calm your heart. Remember to be thankful in every situation, even when we don’t feel like being thankful. We serve a faithful and powerful God. Pray with faith, being thankful that God will give you peace. The storm will not necessarily disappear, but even during that storm we can experience peace.
