Ready to go deeper? Ready for a wild, intense, and fun-filled week? Check out our Discipleship Camp aimed at studying God's Word and applying it in your life. Not only will you explore what it means to be a disciple according to the Bible, but also how to carry that out in your life through various service projects near camp.

WHY DO IT?
Jesus created us to be His imitators in mind, heart, and actions, to be forever soaking in His very Word.

GETTING THERE:
You will have a meaningful time together worshiping God and studying His Word as a whole group, as well as in smaller groups and one-on-one interactions. Experience this worship in a variety of settings, including sunset bonfires on the beach of Lake Michigan! We’ll make sure time is carved out for you to spend quietly with God, just the two of you, and help you discover how your story can be shared with others. You will study together, pray together, serve together, and grow closer to God.

One of the highlights of your week will be the time you spend applying what you have learned by performing acts of service at camp and around the community. It's faith in action! Many Discipleship campers have had such a life-changing week and have grown so close to one another that they keep on meeting long after camp has ended!

Space is extremely limited because Discipleship Camp is designed to be a small group experience.

The camp fee covers all camp expenses including an 8x10 group photo and a Discipleship t-shirt.

TRY THIS ON FOR SIZE:
The week of August 11-15 (H9) is for girls only. One of last year's participants said, "I totally didn't know that my week was an all-girls week. I loved it! The two cabins were always together -- very cool! Very in-depth."
Goals:
  • Discover what it means to be a disciple
  • Build friendships with Christian teens
  • Serve God in tangible ways
  • Challenge yourself
  • Learn from and grow with GENEVA summer staff
Openings are limited so register early!

New in 2008: High School Water Week
Take all the fun of getting together with friends, growing in a relationship wtih Christ, and the ultra special atmosphere of GENEVA and combine it with unique watersport opportunitites and certified lifeguard instruction, and you get High School Water Week.

The wide variety of water resources surrounding GENEVA will lend opportunities for sailing, boogie boarding, tubing, skiing, and wakeboarding on Lake Michigan; blobbing and ziplining in Big Pine Lake; and kayaking down the river.

Each day you will also spend time with GENEVA's resident lifeguard trainer so at the end of the week, you will be tested on knowledge and skills and can leave the week as a certified lifeguard with CPR and AED training.  How cool is that!

Space is limited to 20 participants.  The camp fee covers all camp expenses, including an 8x10 group photo and a GENEVA t-shirt.

Personal Challenges

Fly off the blob! Zip into the waters of Big Pine Lake! Conquer the wall! These are just a few of the adventures that await you at GENEVA this summer. Our challenge activities will stretch you and allow you to go further than you ever thought possible.

And while you’re at it, dive deeper into a life of discipleship. Through group discussion and Bible studies you will learn more about who you are and who God is calling you to be. Our Bible studies will focus on the meaning of discipleship and how to live out your faith every day. There will also be time set aside for you to consider how the things discussed in the group are played out in your own life.

Small Groups

Small group activities will be an integral part of your experience at Discipleship Camp. You will spend most of the week with your small group which will include 5-6 campers and one member of the GENEVA summer staff. Together you will participate in activities such as:
  • Service Projects
  • Initiatives
  • Bible Study
  • Prayer
  • Discussion

Service Projects

One component of discipleship is serving those around you. During your week at Discipleship Camp, you will participate in hands-on discipleship training through work projects in camp and in the local community. These projects will include many different types of service such as:

  • Children's ministries
  • Food distribution
  • Clothing ministries
  • Yard Work
  • Painting
