What it's all about: Day Camp introduces children to camp life through activity-packed days and passionate, faith-filled counselors. Our goal throughout the week is to help campers grow in understanding and character and nature of God.
Why it's important: It provides new experiences that help develop self-confidence, new friendships, and a sense of independence. It cultivates the faith developing seeds planted by parents and the local church in an attractive way.
The Details: The fees for the week cover all expenses and activities, a Day Camp t-shirt, arts & crafts, and an 8x10 group photo. Also included are a morning and an afternoon snack each day and milk to accompany your child's lunch. Day campers are asked to bring their own lunch. A refrigerator is available.
*Please note: Day Camp is PEANUT FREE. Please do not pack peanuts or peanut butter sandwiches for your child.
Check-in begins at 9:15am on Monday morning. Each day for the rest of the week, campers can be dropped off between 8:30 and 9:00am and picked up between 4:30 and 5:00pm.
Early Drop-off: Available 7:30-8:30AM Tuesday- Friday. Does your work day begin early? Drop off your child for breakfast and some activities. ($20 for the week)
Day Camp Buddies: Please note that we have 2 separate locations for Day Campers (Lakeview Pavilion and Ridge Pavilion). Campers are divided by grade level so please choose a buddy who is either in the same grade or only one grade level different. First and Third graders may not register as buddies because first graders (along with some second graders) will be at Lakeview Pavilion and third graders (along with some second graders) will be at the Ridge Pavilion.
Bring Friends Save Money: If you fill a cabin or Day Camp group, we will place the campers together and send you a 10% rebate after they attend. The parent who is coordinating the group must call Camp Geneva and request a Bring Friends, Save Money Code which each of the campers in that group must include when they register. The rebate will be for 10% of the portion you paid, not including any church assistance or camp scholarship you received. Rebates will be issued within two weeks after the camper attends. If you pay by credit card, we will credit your card. If you pay by check, we will mail you a refund check.
Special Weeks
Overnight on Thursday (June 25-29 & August 6-10): Special weeks are available where 3rd & 4th grade campers will stay overnight on Thursday night for extra special activities.
Come On Over! Week (July 9-13): A take-off from the children's television show of the same name. Joel Schoon Tanis and Stevie Carigon will join us this week to bring the campers on a fun journey of imagination and faith using characters and elements from C ome On Over!
Spanish Language and Culture Week (June 25-29): Join us as we experience two worlds connecting in one powerful week. Camp Geneva is partnering with local Spanish Immersion programs and the West Ottawa Summer Migrant program to offer a day camp for 2nd-4th grades that crosses cultural and linguistic boundaries. Bilingual staff are eager to demonstrate how God's truth transcends language and culture.
Weather your first language is Spanish or you've been immersed in Spanish as a second language, all campers come together in this unique opportunity. Your child will not only practice their Spanish, but will experience a week with children form another culture. Please note that this week is restricted to children in Spanish Immersion programs.
