10th - 12th grades

If you love kids, God, and cannot get enough of camp, CIT is for you! Come experience firsthand what it is like to be on GENEVA Summer Staff. We will spend a week building community among ourselves in preparation for a second week living and interacting with younger campers. This is a great opportunity to step into leadership while still experiencing the mentoring of passionate counselors and the acceptance of genuine community.

GIVING BACK:
One of the most amazing and humbling experiences of life is being used by God to help a child grow in his or her faith. If you have a passion for the gospel of Christ and a love for His children, then God may be calling you to serve at camp this summer.

LIVING IT:
You'll spend your first week in intense preparation and commmunity building in anticipation of the week ahead.

Your second week will be in a cabin alongside a counselor helping to lead the activities and Bible studies.

The truth of the matter is, while you serve the kids, God's blessings rain down, revealing Himself in new ways to you.

THE NEXT STEP:
CITs are chosen based upon their application, interview, references, and needs of the camp. Interested individuals should register early to receive the application materials. Registrations will be accepted through February 28 and interviews will be held in March.

Your camp fee will cover all camp expenses including full camp photos, your CIT t-shirt, and the camp DVDs.

The application process:
  1. Register online or complete and mail in the registration form found in our summer brochure. Registration deadline: February 25. Once we receive your registration, we will email you links to the online CIT application and reference forms for you to give to two people outside your family (school or Sunday School teacher, youth leader, family friend).

  2. Complete the application form online no later than February 25. The two reference forms should be faxed or mailed in by February 28.

  3. Personal interview. CIT interviews are done in March. Phone interviews are available for those who live too far from GENEVA to come for a personal interview.

  4. If you are chosen to be part of our CIT program, you will be notified in writing.

  5. At the time of registration, you will be asked to send the registration fee. We will not cash your check or charge your credit/debit card until after interviews are complete and CITs have been chosen.
The CIT role is very important to our campers and the GENEVA summer program. Campers will look at you as one of the staff, and will likely want to model themselves after you. Thus it is important for GENEVA to select the best possible candidates as CITs so that the entire summer program will continue to be strong. We hope you are one of them.

Due to the large number of registrations we receive for our CIT program, we realize many of you who apply will not be accepted. If you would like to attend one of our High School Camps if you are not accepted into the CIT program, we recommend you register for both programs right away as the High School Camps may be full by the time the CIT selection process is completed. Please complete two separate registration forms. If you are accepted into the CIT program, we will cancel your High School Camp registration, transfer your payment to your CIT week, and refund the balance.

Please note that since the first week of the CIT program is very similar to the GENEVAserve program, we will only allow you to attend one or the other. You may not attend both.

*Note:  CITs will be at home over the weekend between their two weeks at GENEVA.
