My favorite passage of scripture is:
Phillipians 3: 7-8: But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.
Nothing in this life is worth living for without Christ; Everything is loss compared to having a relationship with Christ.
It’s easy to get caught up in trying to be popular, good at sports and school or looking the right way. Campers, be challenged to examine your life and what you are living for. Do you truly know God or simply know about Him. Would you be willing to give up everything for Christ
