Marriage Encounter is a weekend experience designed to help couples communicate more intimately with one another in order to deepen and enrich their relationship. The emphasis is on communication between husband and wife. In a private, comfortable environment away from the distractions and responsibilities of everyday life, you are given the opportunity to look into yourself and your relationship with each other and with God. You will learn a special communication technique that you can take home with you to continue to grow in love and appreciation of each other. Marriage Encounter is a positive, building experience. More than a weekend away, it's a weekend of discovery together.
The weekend begins on Friday evening at 7:30pm and ends Sunday at 6:00pm.

Facts about the Reformed Expression of Worldwide Marriage Encounter
- We are a lay ministry serving couples in the RCA and the CRC.
- We began in 1981. Since then, over 5,900 couples have attended the 240 Reformed Marriage Encounter Weekends we have organized.
- Our Mission is to strengthen and renew RCA and CRC churches and join in Christ's work of changing the world by instructing married couples in the need to find God's Plan in their lives together as husband and wife.
- We believe that marriage is a faithful, exclusive, and lifelong union between one man and one woman joined as husband and wife, in an intimate partnership of life and love.
- Our policies and practices conform with the understanding of the Christian faith and doctrine of the CRC and RCA. All our leadership couples are active, communicant members of the CRC or RCA. We have a Board of Directors which meets twice a year.
- Marriage Encounter is a weekend experience designed to help couples with good marriages communicate more intimately with one another, in order to deepen and enrich their relationship. Even the best marriages find new meaning and joy through the weekend.
- Our ministry is based on Jesus' command in John 15:12 to "Love one another as I have loved you."
